If you are a Christ follower, what you want most for your child is to know Jesus and walk with Him. How can a child learn to follow Jesus? Experts tell us one key way children learn is through imitation. Kids watch, learn, and repeat. If you’ve ever seen a preschooler engaged in dramatic play, you can attest. Little girls have sassy pretend phone conversations. Boys sit in front of imaginary TVs yelling at unreal sports events. James Baldwin said it best, “Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.” If you want your child to be like Jesus… be like Jesus.
